Marketing Assistant

Responsibilities

The Australian and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ANZCCJ) welcomes applications from university students in their third year of university, or older to undertake an internship at the ANZCCJ Secretariat office in Tokyo.

Social Media:
• Find interesting and relevant events and articles which point to what business is happening between A/Japan or NZ/Japan.
• Promote members and events.
Website
• Post notices and news items on the Chamber website in accordance with the ANZCCJ’s communications guidelines
• Keep the Chamber’s online database and website up-to-date
• Ensure Platinum and Sponsor member logos, profiles and website links are up to date at all times
Newsletter
• Compile monthly newsletter to a high standard, overseen by the Executive Director
• Draft newsletter content, event summaries and press releases for final approval by Executive Director
• Liaise with members on advertising and content benefits

Requirements & Preferences

• Excellent written communication skills 

• Experienced social media marketing skills

• Advanced computer ability, ideally with design experience using Canva, Photoshop or a similar design suit 

• Ability to adhere to strict timelines

• High level English proficiency 

• Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N2-N3 desired but not essential)

Information: High-quality, practical information related to doing business between Australia/New Zealand and Japan.


Representation: Robust and effective advocacy of Australian and New Zealand business interests to the Japanese government. Promoting a positive perception of Australian and New Zealand business to the wider Japanese and international business community, and enhancing understanding of the benefits of doing business with Japan among the Australian/New Zealand communities.
Commercial Connections: Business networking opportunities among Australian/New Zealand and Japanese business through a range of forums and social events and through business referrals.

The ANZCCJ’s mission is to play a constructive and meaningful role in developing Australia/New Zealand-Japan business by providing Members with an effective source of information, representation and commercial connections.

Salary / Fringe Benefits / Perks

Internships are unpaid and open to students of all nationalities but priority is given to Australian, New Zealand and Japanese applicants. ANZCCJ will cover the student’s travel costs to and from the office but visa applications, living arrangements and insurance are the responsibility of the intern.
